The unit enables direct scanning and digitization of rolled and flat fingerprints as well as palms, writer’s palm and the optional capture of mug shots, scars, marks and tattoo images. This real-time ability to capture and efficiently transmit finger and palm images for search of the database ensures that suspects are identified while still in custody, thus greatly reducing the possibility of releasing a wanted person.
